Rebecca Browne, Juilliard graduate, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the USA, Canada and Eastern Europe. She recently performed as a concerto soloist with the Kiev Symphony and as soloist and concertmaster with the Cluj, Romania Orchestra and the Texas Festival Orchestra. This season, she performed and toured with such leading acts as Josh Groban, the multi-platinum Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Irish Tenors and Danny Oertli. Rebecca is a founding member of Austin’s Angels, a dynamic and high energy string trio of young women. The Houston Chronicle lauded the Angels as “the string player’s answer to the Eroica Trio” as they dazzled audiences both live and on NPR in a February debut. Deeply committed to music education, Rebecca founded an ongoing violin program for orphaned and impoverished children in Eastern Europe. She was also awarded a Juilliard String Teaching Fellowship to teach minority children in NYC. While obtaining a bachelors and masters degree in violin performance, Rebecca assistant taught for Juilliard professor, Stephen Clapp and UT professor, Brian Lewis. Rebecca has given master classes in the USA and Europe and is currently teaching privately in San Antonio, TX.
